About Us
Central to The Patriot Project will be a bronze statue depicting a family of participants in the Revolutionary War to be placed in a prominent site facing North King Street and between the Old Court House and the Loudoun County New Courts Complex in downtown Leesburg.

The statue will stand on a base surrounded by a series of bronze plaques that will narrate the events and the people who here ignited the light of freedom and gave birth to the reality of self-government. The Loudoun Revolutionary War Memorial Committee (LRWMC) also envisions a path ringing the statue with benches for rest and reflection.

A series of pertinent educational events and activities will support the process that will culminate on the days the statue is erected and dedicated. Wide participation by local schools, governments, museums, libraries, churches and community organizations is encouraged.

Education

It is the supreme duty and privilege of each American generation to pass the torch of liberty to the generations that follow. Each generation that has known the bounty of freedom must not forget its value and must actively safeguard its keeping. Each generation must understand anew the payment tyranny exacts and that our freedom began and will continue to be tested by blood and watered with tears.
